City of Kalamunda Plants for Residents

June 06, 2025 in Nursery

On Saturday 31 May, almost 1000 residents of the City of Kalamunda descended on the Woodlupine Community Centre to collect free plants for greening their urban gardens. Trillion Trees is proud to be the plant partner for the City of Kalamunda Plants for Residents program for 2025-2027.

The program is designed to encourage residents to enhance their gardens and support local biodiversity with native plants. As they grow, these native trees and plants will also contribute to the City's urban canopy.

Registered residents were able to collect their allocated plants from clearly organised tables based on their chosen “plant pack,” and pick up an aftercare flyer on their way out. Almost 14,000 plants made their way into happy new homes in the City of Kalamunda!

The plants were grown with care by volunteers and the staff team at the Trillion Trees Community Nursery in Hazelmere.

Trillion Trees has a long history of working with local governments to deliver urban greening programs including a range of plants to residents initiatives.
