Project Progress Report: Nomans Lake

July 03, 2025 in Restoration

Trillion Trees Australia works with a range of planting partners and stakeholders across Perth and the Wheatbelt each year.

One of our longest standing planting partnerships began as an offshoot of Trillion Trees, before growing to stand independently. Activate the Wheatbelt has now given birth to its own offspring, Activate Saplings, and we are proud to continue our long standing relationship with the amazing Activate crew.

Working with the Activate crew brings huge benefits - they know how to throw a fabulous tree planting festival, so every Activate event is packed with music, creativity and nourishing food. Camping creates a special community vibe and children are warmly welcomed as the next custodians of our precious earth.

In 2023, we planted in partnership with Activate Saplings at Nomans Lake in the Wheatbelt.

35,000 native trees and plants were planted by the dedicated team of volunteers, during a fabulous festival of music and mother earth.

Thanks to funding from a State NRM Community Stewardship Grant, we restored the landscape on Wiilman Noongar Boodja. Check out these 2025 photos for the latest shots of our thriving new forest.
